I've been painting for most of my life but it wasn't until I attended San Francisco Art Institute in 2011 that I began delving more into abstract art. While I enjoy realism, I find more ease and excitement when creating something abstract. There is no right or wrong, no hard-set rules the artist has to abide by. Instead, there is freedom in expression and permission to let loose. I love creating depth through textures and using the richness of oil paint to blend colors and paint sweeping movements across the canvas. It is my hope that the paintings will elicit different emotions, sensations, and imagery for each viewer and their unique perspective.
